Dubai Airport reopens after UAE weather experienced

Dubai International Airport has announced the resumption of inbound flights at Terminal 1, with Emirates and flydubai flights operating out of Terminal 3, following disruptions caused by record rainfall in the Emirates.

However, flight delays are anticipated as extensive clean-up efforts continue.

Over two days, more than 1,200 flights were cancelled due to the adverse weather conditions this week.

“Dubai International (DXB) has resumed in-bound flights of international airlines operating out of Terminal 1 DXB. Flights continue to be delayed and disrupted following the recent unprecedented weather in the UAE. Passengers due to depart from DXB Terminal 1 should only come to the Terminal if they have received a confirmation  from their airline regarding their flight departure. Please contact your airline for the latest information on your flight status,” said a Dubai Airports spokesperson.

Later, a spokesperson informed that check-in at Dubai International (DXB) has reopened for Emirates and flydubai flights operating out of Terminal 3, following the unprecedented weather experienced in the UAE.

“There is currently a high volume of guests in Terminal 3 check-in area. Passengers should only come to Terminal 3 if they have a confirmation from their airline regarding their flight departure. Passengers are urged to contact their airline for the latest information on flight status. We are working to process guests as quickly as possible and get everyone travelling to their destination”.
